Kempton Park Martial Arts recently hosted their Annual Open All Styles Development Tournament in Kempton Park at the Kempton Park Indoor Sport Centre.  146 Participants competed, 150 Gold, 110 Silver and 50 Bronze Medals were handed out at this event.

In 2020, Kempton Park Karate Club was unable to do a formal grading due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shihan Willem and Sensei Juan-Paul however graded the students on how they did during class before lock-down, as well as classes done by Skype and competitions during 2019/early 2020.

Kempton Park Karate Club competed in the WMO World Championships held in Blackpool, England from 1 to 9 November 2019:

Senpai Angelique Johnson represented South Africa and achieved the following results:  Semi Contact 2nd, Light Contact 2nd, Kumite 2nd, Traditional Kata 3rd

Senpai Henni Johnson also represented South Africa as a coach.

Both received their Protea National Colours.

JOCK OF THE BUSHVELD (NELSPRUIT) – 25 JULY 2015

Angelique Johnson took part in the Jock of the Bushveld Tournament in Nelspruit on 25 July 2015. She received 2nd place in both Semi Contact and Light Contact. She took part against a full contact fighter in the finals. We are proud of her achievements!
